Information on Application for Residence Permit, its
Extension and
Alteration by Foreign Students
- Foreign student should hold visa "X" to enter China and apply for,
within thirty days of entry, residence permit to the Division of Aliens
Administration of the Yaan Public Security Bureau.
- When applicants apply for residence permits, the following documents
and certificates should be presented:
- Passports.Diplomatic or business passports should be changed to ordinary
passports; in case of impossibility of the change, a notice from the
applicant' embassy should be presented to declare that the applicants gives
up the privileges of diplomatic or business passport and accept the
treatment as the holders of ordinary passports.
- Foreign Students Application Form for Visa> (JW201 or JW202) or its
photocopy and the <Admission Notice> issued by SAU, in case of the original
form can not be submitted
- Alien's Application Form for Residence Permit> filled in with the seal
of Foreign Affairs Office of SAU.
- Two recently-taken, bare-headed and full-faced photographs (two-inch
size).
- Health certificate> issued by Yaan Health and Quarantine Bureau.
- When applicants apply for alteration of institutes or extension of
residence permits, the following certificates should be presented:
- Valid passports and residence permits, and the <Admission Notice> issued by
the new enrolled institute and <Aliens' Application Form for Alteration of
Visa or Certificate> filled in with the seal of the host institute. If
applicants transfer into SAU, Yaan from other areas of China, they are
required to go through the transferring procedures at the Public Security
Bureau of the original city before go through in advance.
- Valid passports and residence permits, and the <Alien's Application Form
for Renewal of Visa or Certificate>filled in with the seal of the host
institute.
