SAU Took Part in High Rank Educational Exchanges in Tokyo (Jan. 29-30)
A high rank Educational forum and exhibition of Chinese universities and Japanese universities was held in Tokyo. The subject of the forum is “Changes of Chinese Universities and Japanese Universities in the Competition Era of Globalization”. It provided a comprehensive platform for the exchange between the two countries. 42 universities of China and 50 universities of Japan attended the event. SAU is greatly honored to be ranked in the famous universities such as Bejing University and Qinghua University in China as well as Kyoto University and Waseda University in Japan. It is the largest event in the China-Japan educational history. On the forum, Mr. Zhu Qing, Vice-President of SAU, was invited to give a report under the title "Strengthen Agricultural Science and Technology Innovation to Serve Local Economy". On the exhibition, our delegation actively promoted SAU, introduced SAU to Japanese Universities and made exchanges with Japanese universities. Then our delegation visited Waseda University and attended the Chinese students’ New Year Party in Tokyo Technology Institute according to the schedule.
International Students Cultural Exchange in SAU (Jan.3-8)
15 students of New York State University came to visit SAU and had a wonderful time. They were warmly received and invited to a variety of cultural activities including Chinese dance, calligraphy, Taijiquan, tea culture, Tibetan Guozhuang party and so on. The visit culminated in the whole exchange when the Youth League, the Student Union and the IOEC of SAU held a grand evening party for the American students. This event is part of the program planned by Chinese State Councilor Liu Yandong, who returned an invitation to 224 teachers and students of New York State University to visit China for a dozen days. As we know in 2008 after the Wenchuan earthquake disaster, New York State University generously invited and hosted 150 Sichuan-earthquake-refugee college students as comfort.
